Not only did I just get wifi back after being like 5 days without it, but it is raining!  And I don’t mean a little.  The backyard here in Arizona is flooded, and the street is flooded onto the sidewalk.  Some great thunder and lightening! Of course, my niece didn’t get to sleep before it so she’s a bit freaked out, but the dogs will keep her feeling safe.

The other day while not having access I wrote a post thinking I’d be back on the next day… since I wasn’t .. here ya go!

While digging through information about Elizabeth Bathory for my paper rewrite I stumbled upon something rather interesting. A movie that I had been meaning to see again for some time, Stay Alive, was based on Elizabeth Bathory. Not by any means is it historically accurate – I mean come on it bases the story in New Orleans.. centuries after the real one lived. But, it is still an amazing movie.

Stay Alive (2006)

I’ve been trying to watch this recent season of Orphan Black, but the internet has not been kind. In fact, I am writing this to post tomorrow because the router died. No gaming, no streaming. It’s a hard life. haha.

It is nice to have a quiet house while the kids are with their dad, but it’s odd too, I almost don’t know what to do with myself. Lucky for me I have movies to watch and things to write. I do wish I had things to code as well.

For now I am enjoying Les Miserables. I truly love this movie. The actors really put all they had into it. While I’m speaking of musicals I highly recommend seeing the play Into the Woods starring Bernadette Peters. They are making a movie version that will be out in December, and it has a lot to live up to in my eyes.

And recently we spent a bit of time teaching the kids about the ‘old movies’ we love.  We introduced them to The Princess Bride and The Breakfast Club.  In the next week or so we will find some more for them to love.

You watched this movie with me. To this day, even though it’s my favorite horror movie, I can’t watch it without giggling, because your voice is always in the back of my head going “Bitch, look at your hair!”
